Striped spiral pendant

This tutorial was quite specific on every point. Using the same color combinations, my first attempt was perfect. I did have a slight challenge with one of the spirals not staying joined near the end. I just think the clay had a chance to cool slightly as my tile was cold to the touch. My friend did not have that problem though. I did feel that more clay was used in the skinner blend than was needed. I made four spirals of different sizes and had a large skinner blend left. Next time, I will use a 1/4 block instead of the 1/2 block. I have recommended this tutorial to a friend and she loved it also. She used a combination of blue, yellow, green and it was a very pretty combination.

Thank you so much for such a nice and thorough review!

Yes, I do use a lot of clay every time I make a rainbow gradient blend because I use them like a master recipe in so many other things, like jellyroll and kaleidoscope canes--that's a good reminder for me to be more thoughtful of the amounts I recommend in tutorials--I am always assuming that other people have large quantities of clay on hand, and of course I am always mindful of the 3rd rule of polymer clay--when you've made the perfect cane, you haven't made enough of it!:)

Glad you enjoyed the tutorial, and I would love to see you post the results in the student's gallery.
Namaste,
