Very clear instructions, great for beginners

As a person who is quite new to making 1:12 miniature food, I particularly appreciate it when instructions are clear and well organized in tutorials, and include enough pictures of the various steps so I am less likely to get lost and mess up what could have otherwise been a half decent first creation. Betsy Niederer seems to really understand what it's like to be a beginner. She doesn't assume that the reader already knows about the basics of working with clay like some instructors tend to do.

This tutorial is very clear about the methods to use and the materials that are best. The photographs illustrate the steps well so you probably won't go cross eyed trying to figure out what you're supposed to do. lol

I think that this is a good tutorial to start with if you're a beginner like me. This isn't a project that takes mega buck materials or time, thankfully! This won't waste lots of clay if you mangle things during first attempts.
