Description:

Well-made jump rings are important to having a nicely finished, secure project. In this Lesson you will learn how to make jump rings using just your cutters. What's different about this Lesson is that you will learn how to make the ends properly so they will close tightly and neatly. No more gaps between the ends where the wire comes together!

Cutters are rated for different gauges of wire so if you are using heavy wire up to 14g make sure your cutters are rated for that. Wire heavier than 14g should be saw cut.

This lesson is written assuming you are using copper wire, craft wire such as Artistic Brand wire, sterlin silver or gold fill wire. I have not used aluminim, titanium or steel wire. While the techniques will still apply, the sizes of wire and cutters might be different for harder kinds of wire.
