Description:

I have a very good friend who shudders at the thought of adding glitter to polymer clay. And this because you almost need an isolation booth to effectively contain glitter; it invariably finds its way into everything your own and on the noses of every member of your family.

For this earring project with post findings, you do not have to worry about glitter-glitter-everywhere. The colors of polymer clay used already contain glitter in their make-up. In other words, neither you nor your dog will be involuntarily wearing sparkles by the time you complete this piece of jewelry.

And while glitter is used as a background and a vivid ruby red accent here, the very simple trims and relief designs are formed with subtle, almost plain, silver and gold metallic clays.

This tutorial assumes that you know how to condition clay. You’ll receive instruction on making a Skinner Blend.
