Description:

This tutorial will show you how to create my signature spiral! It is easy, fun, and addictive--and best of all, it's free!

The 17 clear illustrations will show you how to create a simple 3-color blend, then use that blend to create the beautiful striped spiral pendant that has been my personal signature piece since I first started wotking with clay.

While very easy, this tutorial does presuppose that you have basic understanding of conditioning and color blends--if you are unsure of how to make a basic Skinner blend, you may find the instructions for free all over the web--my method differs, but the principal is the same.

Merry Christmas fellow clayristas!

Just downloaded and read this tutorial - wonderfully simple yet effective methodology. I'm imagining some spiraled metallics :) Thanks, Randee!

Aw, thanks, Susan! Yes, some of the originals were done that way with bronzes, golds and blacks--subtle but very riche. Would love to see what you make--have a woderful holiday! (And Merry solstice today!)

Hey ya'll,
if you have trouble understanding step 6--the way to create stripes in the snake, please go to my facebook page, RANDEE M KETZEL, and take a look at the one-minute video posted on my wall; it shows how I make the stripes.

Have fun!
